Kenneth ‘Ken’ L. Shaneour, 71 of Lambertville, MI, died Saturday, October 12, 2013 in The Toledo Hospital. Born September 22, 1942 in Hudson, MI, he was the son of Lloyd and Edna (Wilson) Shaneour. A 1960 graduate of Waldron High School, he married Barbara Williams on September 8, 1962 in Betzer Community Church in Camden, MI. Ken retired from Owens Corning in 2006 as Supply Chain Specialist after 44 years of service. He was an active member of Lambertville United Methodist Church. Ken was also a member and Past Patron of Yondota O.E.S., #317 and Samaria O.E.S, #391, Past Master and Musician of Samaria Lodge #438, F.& A.M. He was also a member of Masonic Mallet Club, District 6 Toledo O.E.S., Century Club and River Raisin Council #4, R&SM. Ken enjoyed fishing, reading, puzzles, but most of all, his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara. Children, Lynne (Dan) Bauerschmidt, Sue (Steve) Robertson, and Keith and Nancy Shaneour. Sister, Janet (J) Fellabaum. Grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew Palmer, Corey, Paige (Tyler) Campbell and Courtney Robertson, Blake, Savannah, Joshua (Leah), Zachary and Christopher Shaneour. Great grandson, Kyle Shaneour. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and infant twin brother. Ken’s wishes were to be cremated and spread over one of his favorite fishing lakes.

A gathering will be Friday, October 18, 2013 at 9:30 am in Lambertville United Methodist Church (corner of Dean & Douglas) Lambertville, MI, where a masonic and memorial service will follow at 10:30 am. Reverend Thomas Zimmerman, officiating. Memorials may be made to the church or the American Heart Association. Arrangements by Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, Temperance, MI.
